We provide local carvers, seamstresses, cottage workers and the arts community a venue to market their artistry.
Kiluk’s handcrafted clothing produced by local seamstresses showcases the beauty and artistry of traditional Inuit clothing while using modern techniques and equipment to ensure standards and quality are maintained.
Opened in Arviat in 1996, Kiluk produces some of the finest fur and leather clothing. Our exclusive productions make extensive use of traditional materials including muskox leather and sealskin furs. We offer a wide range of products including jackets, vests, mitts, clothing accessories, decorative wall hangings and a variety of Christmas ornaments and accessories. Kiluk creates designs with a unique Northern flair incorporating traditional materials and artistry with innovative and modern craftsmanship.
Our unique Nunavut designs were recognized in the selection of Kiluk to produce and create uniforms for the Legislative Pages (support personnel) working in Nunavut’s Legislative Assembly. Our designs have also been showcased at the annual North American Fur and Fashion Exposition in Montreal.
