How do I register for an account on Ivalu?

Just click the link “Create an account” at the top of the website.

How do I change my account password?

Once logged into ivalu.ca, click on the “My Account” button, then navigate to the link “Your Account Details”. From that page you can revise your password.

I can't remember my password, what should I do?

Simply click on the link "Forgot your password?" the follow the instructions from there. 

Where is my confirmation email?

Your confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided upon registration. It will include your account login information and your password. Please delete this email or keep it in a safe place.  

How do I add or change a mailing address?

Your mailing address can be found and edited in the My Account section under: Your Address Book. 

What is the methods of payment -can I use a debit card or PayPal to pay for my item?

I am from Nunavut, can I sell my art on Ivalu?

How do you pick the art for sale on Ivalu?

The initial selection of art, clothing and other items has been selected as a limited range, to show what Ivalu has to offer. As the website and business grows, more products will be offered. Ivalu always strives to offer the best quality products to it's customers.

How do I purchase an item on Ivalu?

Once you've found a item that you would like to purchase, navigate to the full entry for that item, choose your quanitity, then click the Add to Cart button. A pop-up window will appear, showing the contents of your cart, if you are finished with your purchase you may click Proceed to Checkout.

In the checkout window, you will need to go through all of the information and provide your Billing, Shipping detials (if different than the location provided for your account when you signed up), Shipping method and then confirm all of the details. If you do have additional information that you would like to provide, please include it at before finalizing your order. 

How much money does the artist make from a sale on Ivalu?

Artists often negotiate their own price when working with Ivalu. This means that there is no standard rate or percentage that an artist makes. Ivalu's role is to make it easier for artists to sell their work and as artists they are our priority. 

Why am I required to register before making a purchase?

Registration is essential to our customer service policy. We want to guarantee that our customers can be contacted if issues arise with orders, or if we need more clarification on something, custom sizing would be an example. 

What currency is used on Ivalu? How do I handle currency conversions as a foreign shopper?

Ivalu is located in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut in Canada, and therefor uses Canadian currency. If you are paying via credit card, the currency exchange will automatically be applied. 

How is shipping calculated? Can I get a discount if I buy more than one product?

Shipping from Ivalu is based on a flat rate for within Canada. 

If I write a review, can I delete or edit it?

Yes, you may revise or delete your comments or reviews at any time. We always appreciate the feedback and support that reviews provide and encourage them for all products. 

When should I write a review?

You can write a review whenever you feel you've gained enough information about the product. For a carving, the review could be done once you've seen it in person. For clothing or other items, you may want to wait until you've used the item a few times and can make a fair judgement. 

How do I leave a review?

Simply return to the page of the prodcut that you purchased, this can be done by logging into your account, then clicking on the "Write a Review" button that is on every product page. Please be detailed and specific in your comments and try to provide information that you believe will help other customers make the best purchase possible. 

Because these are handmade products can I make a special request for something not seen on the website?

We always welcome contact and requests from any of our customers and will do whatever we can to help connect people with our artists to make custom peices. Please contact Vicky to discuss your personal request and she will help you with the process. 

Does Ivalu ever have any sales?
